Mrs. BooherKrista Booher teaches kindergarten. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Great Falls. Mrs. Booher lives with her husband in Hungry Horse. They moved to Montana in 2001 and love it more each day. She feels very fortunate to be part of the WGE staff and to be able to work with all of the school's fantastic students.

Ms. KnutsonKati Knutson co-teaches grades 1–2 with Mrs. Hebert, and also teaches music. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the Salish Kootenai College. She lives in Columbia Falls, where she grew up, with her partner and three children. Ms. Knutson loves making music, reading to learn new things, playing outside with her family, and teaching and coaching kids.

Mrs. HebertKristen Hebert co-teaches grades 1–2 with Ms. Knutson. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Great Falls. She also holds a degree in fine art. Originally from New York and Vermont, Mrs. Hebert made Montana her home about two decades ago, when a friend told her it was paradise. She loves the outdoors and enjoys skiing, hiking, and biking with her husband and two children. They share their Whitefish home with a bunny and two cats.

Ms. MarkusonAndina Markuson teaches grades 3–4. She earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Montana State University-Northern. Before coming to West Glacier, she lived and taught in Elliston, Montana, for three years. Miss Markuson completed her student teaching requirements at WGE and is very excited to be back working alongside the amazing WGE team, students, and community.

Mrs. WieringaCarolyn Wieringa teaches grades 5–6. She has been with WGE for more than 20 years. Mrs. Wieringa earned her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at Montana State University. She loves working with kids.

Mrs. DowneyAlison Downey teaches third-grade reading and math. She earned her bachelor's in education from the University of Michigan with an English major and a natural science minor. Originally from Connecticut, Mrs. Downey moved to West Glacier in 1997 to teach winter ecology on snowshoe hikes in Glacier. Since then, she has enjoyed teaching in Montana and Connecticut. Mrs. Downey enjoys hiking, four-wheeling, and gardening with her husband. She is really happy to return to West Glacier and to join the West Glacier School community.

Ms. KempkeMelissa Kempke is our art instructor and special education teacher. Ms. Kempke was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio, and moved to Montana in 2012. Ms. Kempke holds a degree in Art Education and a B.A. in Sculpture from the University of Toledo. She is excited to continue her career and life here in West Glacier.

Mrs. YoungMonica Young is our business manager/clerk. Mrs. Young moved to Montana with her husband and three children in September 2015. They have all embraced the beautiful scenery and Montana lifestyle. Mrs. Young and her family reside in Columbia Falls. She is so excited to go on this journey with a great group of teachers and staff, along with the amazing students at WGE.

Ms. Burrell Lisa Burrell is our paraeducator and Cub Camp aide. Ms. Burrell has worked with local children and their families for the last 20 years. She lives in Coram with her husband, two dogs, and two cats. Ms. Burrell loves exploring the outdoors and is excited to be joining WGE.
